Chrisman Community is a unique residential care facility as we additionally focus on the healthcare of our residents.  Most board and care facilties are non-medical facilities and typically just assist the residents with activities of daily living.  Since Chrisman Community is owned an operated by a board-certified nurse practitioner, our facility can accommodate residents with chronic problems such as insulin-dependent diabetes and those who need assistance with medical devices and indwelling catheters.  We are also one of the only residential care facilities that offer free wellness exams by a nurse practitioner in addition to maintaining a relationship with our resident's medical providers to ensure the highest quality healthcare and preventative healthcare maintenance.  Our staff is educated above and beyond the current requirements so they can also recognize acute medical issues.
